As Qantas flights to Santiago are out of Sydney we decided to come up the day before and

 break up the hassles of one flight and 3 airport terminals before getting the Santiago flight.

Well we got here after a minor flight delay. After all the carryon preparing for the trip we basically crashed for the afternoon and had a nice long nana nap. In the evening it was a walk into town for a beautiful Italian meal at Mazzaro in Elizabeth St. Highly recommended by us. We visited there a few years ago and had an equally fine meal.

Apologies to our friends who we didn't get to see. Will have to come back later in the year and make up for that.

We are staying at the Cambridge hotel in Riley St, Surry Hills in a room with a "city view". It would have been a great city view a few years ago before all the apartment building in between. If you look hard right you can see the top of the Opera House sails.
